They were in favor of allowing people to pay for permits, dog tags and possibly even taxes online. Homola repeated her long-time concern about improving communication with the public through more press releases and news stories on the website, including accomplishments, successes and what the commissioners are doing.

The differences among the commissioners were again highlighted during a final discussion of priorities and goals. Homola, for example, read a long list, with such ideas as stimulating jobs, adopting an affordable housing, fixing water pipes in the jail and creating a no-idling policy, while her colleagues were more circumspect.
But they ended on a note of consensus, with the commissioners all speaking in favor of performance audits as a way of increasing efficiency in government. The devil, of course, may be in the details. It was cute and clean, and just what we needed for a short weekend stay. Being Fall, it was starting to get a little chilly, especially for California folks. Downstairs had quite a few wall heaters, but the bed I stayed in upstairs I couldn't find any heat, except in the bathroom.
Maybe I missed something, but a portable electric heater would have been nice for the nights.
It wasn't cold enough for the wood stove and we weren't around enough to get it going anyways. The upstairs bed was comfortable and warm, although I do wish there were a few more options for pillows I'm a bit picky though, so its fine. The interior doorways are narrower than usual and a tall person might find the loft bedroom ceiling too low. Overall it is a great place and we would love to stay here again if we are ever in the area!
The house was clean, cozy, and as pictured. We brought our laptop so we could watch Netflix after the kids went to bed. Everyone slept great!
We'd return if ever back to Whidbey Island. I loved staying at this haven getaway. The decor was so stylish, it supplied everything I needed and so much more. Site header.
